Snowmobile safari
Snowmobile safari
Explore the Arctic nature - snowy, cold and beautiful.
The air is clear and crisp, the light dances between the mountain peaks, and every turn opens up a new winter landscape of plains, mountains, and deep snow.
Feel the silence of the Arctic wilderness as you glide through snow-covered forests and mountain landscapes on an electric snowmobile in Sulitjelma – just a short drive from Bodø.
Join the winter adventure
Join a guided, electric snowmobile tour in the Sulis Mountains - one of Northern Norway's most spectacular areas for snowmobiling experiences. Sulitjelma offers high mountains, glaciers and wild Arctic nature shaped by centuries of mining, but also warm, experienced local guides who will welcome you.
The tour starts at Rampen Adventure Hub in Bodø before the scenic drive for 1.5 hours to Sulitjelma. We then spend around three hours on electric snowmobiles on prepped trails, stopping for a light lunch and hot drinks in a cozy lavvo by the fire.
After lunch we drive further up into the mountains. On days with good weather the view opens up towards Store Suliskongen and the impressive glaciers that make Sulitjelma a unique place for snowmobile safaris in Northern Norway.
*A valid driver's license is required to drive a snowmobile. A driver's license is not required for passengers.

Your and our guides' safety is our top priority. Nordland is subject to changing and varying weather – from clear weather and sun to wind and snow. We therefore recommend that you check the weather forecast before the activity, and dress accordingly. Our guides are local and very familiar with the terrain, and will make safety assessments based on experience, knowledge of the area and the weather.
Rampen reserves the right to cancel or change planned activities if safety considerations, including weather conditions, make it irresponsible to carry out the activity, or if other unforeseen events beyond our control (force majeure) make it necessary. For bookings that are not included under “private group tours”, and if the cancellation or change occurs less than 24 hours before the planned tour, you will be given two choices:
To change the time or date of the booked activity

Even in Sulitjelma, you can't expect to see the Northern Lights during the day. The Northern Lights can theoretically appear at any time, but they are rarely visible until after 6:00 PM, even in the middle of darkness. The best chances of seeing the Northern Lights are usually between 6:00 PM and 1:00 AM.
